Congregational Church Stays Connected
During the suspension of in-person activities in light of the Covid-19 situation, the Congregational Church of Amherst, UCC has a variety of ways for members and others to connect with church programs. This is especially important during April as Holy Week and Easter are on the horizon.
The most up-to-date information about church activities can be found on the church’s website (ccamherst.org) or by calling the church office at 673-3231. Sunday services are broadcast on FacebookLive and recorded for later on-line viewing. Services are followed by a Virtual Fellowship Hour. Links for these and other events can be found on the website.
The church’s Facebook page is another source of information, including updates and video messages from the pastors. Pastors Maureen Frescott and Kate Kennedy are available to provide pastoral care during this time, and the church welcomes community members to connect with this loving, serving, open and affirming community of faith.

Miss Sarah Retires
We expect Princess Lovely will probably be heading somewhere warm, where she can sleep as late as she likes, but she will always have a special place in her heart for the folks in Amherst
We wish Miss Sarah (and Princess Lovely) health and happiness... They will be missed!
Our Head of Children’s Services, Miss Sarah, officially retired on September 30. A farewell celebration took place earlier in the month where, ever the entertainer, Miss Sarah and her friend Jim Prendergast serenaded children, their families and well wishers with selections from her new recording release for children “Angel on My Shoulder”. Fun was had by all! And...after years of waking up to the sound of the storytime star wand, handing out shapes, and forgetting her colors, Princess Lovely (Miss Sarah’s storytime puppet sidekick) will also be retiring from her storytime duties. At her last storytime, she managed to fool Miss Sarah one last time by hiding behind the flannel board…
