Congregational Church Stays Connected
During the suspension of in-person activities in light of the Covid-19 situation, the Congregational Church of Amherst, UCC has a variety of ways for members and others to connect with church programs. This is especially important during April as Holy Week and Easter are on the horizon.
The most up-to-date information about church activities can be found on the church’s website (ccamherst.org) or by calling the church office at 673-3231. Sunday services are broadcast on FacebookLive and recorded for later on-line viewing. Services are followed by a Virtual Fellowship Hour. Links for these and other events can be found on the website.
The church’s Facebook page is another source of information, including updates and video messages from the pastors. Pastors Maureen Frescott and Kate Kennedy are available to provide pastoral care during this time, and the church welcomes community members to connect with this loving, serving, open and affirming community of faith.

JOIN US VIRTUALLY!
STARTS MONDAY, JUNE 14th
This summer’s theme: Tails and Tales
A NOTE TO PARENTS: What a strange, crazy year we’ve had, and things are still not quite back to “normal” yet. That said, things are changing, and opening up, and our Summer Reading Program will reflect some of these changes. As always, we believe that one of our most important roles as children’s librarians is to help keep children reading all summer long. We know that actual, in-person contact is so important to the kids of our community, so we’re doing our best to make that available in the safest way possible. With that in mind, we are now offering in-person registration and prize-pickup in the Children’s Room, and several outdoor, in-person programming options. It will be so good to see you!!!
For the time being, we are asking that folks still wear a mask when visiting the library. Families may remain unmasked while seated at outdoor programs.

ZOOM PET SHOW!
Wednesday, July 14 at 2:00pm
This year, the Amherst Town Library’s Annual Pet Show for Kids will be happening on ZOOM!
Sign-up to show us your pet, or sign up just to watch. For those who wish to show their pets, we will spotlight you so you and your pet are on the screen for everyone to see. We’ll ask you to introduce your pet, so you’ll need to have your pet with you, and we’ll ask you to tell us a few things about them. A poster or display prepped ahead of time is the best way to do this. For instance: What’s their name?
What do they like to eat? What do they like to do? Do they have any special talents? You decide what to tell us...Be creative!
Kids showing their pets should be at least 5 years old or older.
The number of participants to show their pets will be limited, so register early. Click to register to show your pet.
WANT TO WATCH: If you don’t have a pet, but would like to watch and join the FUN, register to receive the ZOOM link. Come be a member of the audience and share in this annual summertime Amherst tradition! All ages are welcome to join us! Click here to register.
