SHS Students Selected to NH Jazz All-State Festival

      AMHERST – The following students were selected to represent Souhegan High School at the NH Jazz All-State festival which will be held virtually in February 2021. These students submitted audition videos and were chosen based on their performance. Andrew Rosse, SHS Senior was selected on Baritone Sax to the NH All-State Honors Jazz Band receiving the top score of all baritone sax auditions. Hyrum Coleman, SHS Senior was selected on Tenor Sax to the NH All-State Jazz Band. Merlyn Zimmerman, SHS Junior was selected on Trombone to the NH

All-State Jazz Band for the second year in a row. 

      NH will be following the lead of Maine by offering a virtual jazz festival complete with a virtual performance element, instrument sectionals, rehearsals and masterclasses.

Spring 2020 Dean’s Award with Distinction 

     HAMILTON, NY 11/20/2020-- Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade during the spring 2020 semester earn the Dean’s Award with Distinction.

      The following students in your area have earned the Dean’s Award with Distinction from Colgate:

      Isabel Blume is a French major at Colgate who graduated from Souhegan High School, and is from Amherst, NH 03031

      Lihui Chen is a Economics major at Colgate who graduated from Bishop Guertin High School, and is from Merrimack, NH 03054

      William Langan is a Philosophy major at Colgate who graduated from Bedford High School, and is from Bedford, NH 03110

      Olivia Wisbey is a English major at Colgate who graduated from Milford High School, and is from Milford, NH 03055
