FRIDAY, December 8
AMHERST Tree Lighting Ceremony 6:00 - 6:30 pm
LOCATION: Village Green across from Amherst Town Hall
Village Bible Church: Popcorn and Homemade Cookies
Scouts BSA Troop 22: Cocoa & Roasted Chestnuts
Songs and readings by local groups and residents. Santa arrives and lights the tree!
Spaghetti Supper • Amherst Lions Club 6:30 - 7:30 pm
LOCATION: Congregational Church, 11 Church St. Amherst
After the tree lighting ceremony, head over to the church for a delicious spaghetti supper!
Holiday Concert • Amherst Town Band 7:30 pm
LOCATION: Congregational Church, 11 Church St. Amherst
After the spaghetti supper, head upstairs to listen to the Amherst Town Band present an evening of festive music.

Memory Tree • Amherst Garden Club
LOCATION: Village Green across from Moulton's Market
On December 8h, the “Memory Tree" will be illuminated for the 2023 holiday season. The little tree will be adorned with hundreds of tiny white lights, each light representing someone near and dear who has passed away. Details about making a donation can be found here. The deadline is December 1 at 5 pm.

Holiday 'Hoobie Whatty' Crafts and Stories Amherst Town Library 10 am - 2 pm
LOCATION: Amherst Town Library, 14 Main St. Amherst
Come to the children's room at the library to get into the holiday spirit! Join us between 10am-2pm to enjoy some holiday crafts, music, refreshments and of course stories. Storytimes will be at 10:30am and 1:00pm. Join us and relax with a cup of cocoa! More information.

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" Holiday Concert Souhegan Valley Chorus 5 - 7 pm

Pancake breakfast with Mrs. Claus at the Amherst Fire Station! Donations accepted, no reservations needed.

Family Christmas Concert and Singalong Congregational Church 4 pm
LOCATION: Congregational Church, 11 Church St. Amherst
Enjoy beautiful sacred choral and handbell selections, along with much-loved popular favorites of the season. Everyone gets to participate in the merry singalong songs!

Holiday Concert
Join the Souhegan Valley Chorus in "I'll Be Home for Christmas" Holiday Concert at First Congregational Church, Milford, 5-7pm Saturday, December 9.
The works of Jackie Hanson will be on exhibit at the Amherst Town Library during the month of December.
Names of loved ones for the Amherst Garden Club Memory Tree will be listed in the JAN24 AmherstCOMMON.
The Congregational Church of Amherst will host a blood drive, Friday, December 29, 12:00-5:00 p.m. Save time, preregister here.
