Come Run With Us to Promote Lung Cancer Awareness

AMHERST – To honor the memory of Cathy Cray we welcome you to join us in the Amherst village on Saturday, July 16th at 9:00 am for a 5k run or walk to promote lung cancer awareness. The proceeds of the Cathy Cray 5k will go to the White Ribbon Project whose mission is to raise awareness about lung cancer by changing public perception of the disease while also advocating to make routine lung screening available to all (not just smokers).  Anyone with lungs can get lung cancer.

Cathy & and her husband Jerry lived in Amherst for over 35 years raising their three boys, Ryan, Colin, and Brendan. Cathy was not only an active member of the Amherst community but of greater southern New Hampshire. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) her life’s work was helping adolescents working at both Hollis Brookline High School and Saint Anselm College. She was also a member of Community Action for Safe Teens (CAST) who served the communities of Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Mason, Milford, Mont Vernon, and Wilton. She was an avid runner who could often be seen running through the Amherst village.

The money we raise will help The White Ribbon Project continue their efforts to promote lung cancer awareness.

Please join us, and our extended families, to celebrate Cathy’s life in an activity that she absolutely loved to do!
